The opportunity
The Intern, Solutions Architect role will be pivotal in two major projects this summer. The Intern will analyze Gildan's SharePoint data, identify sensitive content, and assist with risk remediation. Additionally, the person will thoroughly test Gildan's new eCommerce platform to ensure seamless functionality and user experience. This role offers a great opportunity to develop professional skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The role
- SharePoint Governance: familiarize themselves with Gildan's SharePoint architecture and learn to use software tools for identifying and mitigating data risks. This includes identifying and labeling sensitive documents and developing new policies to automate risk management.
- Ecommerce Testing: assist in testing Gildan's new eCommerce platform. This role requires patience and attention to detail as they validate requirements, log bug tickets, and collaborate with developers to ensure resolution.
- PowerAutomate Development and AI Advocacy: collaborate with the Architect, Solutions to create SharePoint-based automations and solutions using PowerAutomate and the Microsoft Office suite. Additionally, they will develop educational content and resources for Gildan's users of Microsoft Copilot AI.
The requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in SharePoint, PowerAutomate, or related technologies is a plus but not required.
- A willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development in areas such as eCommerce, data governance, and AI technologies.
- Basic understanding of SharePoint governance and development.
- Strong analytical skills with an interest in identifying and mitigating data risks, such as oversharing or PII.
- Some experience or coursework related to testing eCommerce platforms, including validating requirements and logging bug tickets.
- Familiarity with PowerAutomate and the Microsoft Office suite for developing automations and solutions.
- Good communication skills for developing educational content and resources.
- Attention to detail and patience in testing and troubleshooting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in a language other than French, mainly English, to support customers, employees, or markets outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a different language.
