The opportunity
The Corporate Marketing Intern will support the Global Communications & Corporate Marketing team in executing various marketing projects. From assisting with content creation for social media and paid ads, promoting employee advocacy, gaining hands-on experience in web management and SEO, and learning to track digital performance and compile reports, be ready to work on a wide variety of tasks that will introduce you to the world of corporate marketing. Reporting to the Advisor of Corporate and Digital Marketing, this is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to gain valuable experience while working with a dynamic team in a global company.
The role
Content development and strategy:
- Conduct social media platform audits to analyze demographics and refine content strategies across platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Assist in developing and optimizing paid advertisements across various platforms, including creating written content, visuals using Canva, and video content with Wave.
- Support in promoting employee advocacy across the organization.
Website management and optimization:
- Support with web management by ensuring the website is functional, user-friendly, and up to date with content, and learn to manage the CMS to update and maintain it.
- Assist in SEO reporting, helping to gather insights and provide support for content optimization.
Monitoring and reporting:
- Assist in content uploads across various digital platforms and upkeep the content calendar on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor Gildan’s social media attention and engagement, providing regular summaries as needed.
- Learn how to track results and compile monthly departmental reports.
The requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, management, or any relevant field
- Strong writing skills in English (French, Spanish, or Bengla would be an asset)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X)
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn digital marketing tools (Sprout Social, Canva, Wave)
- Ability to take initiative and learn quickly
- A good communicator and team player
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
