Gildan Activewear Will Hold its 2008 Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results Conference Call at 8:30 a.m. EST on December 11, 2008

Montreal, December 1, 2008 - Gildan Activewear Inc. (GIL: TSX and NYSE) will report its fiscal 2008 fourth quarter and full year results on Thursday, December 11, 2008. A press release will be issued before market open and a conference call is scheduled for that same day at 8:30 a.m. EST to discuss the Company’s results and business outlook for fiscal 2009.

Gildan is a vertically-integrated marketer and manufacturer of quality branded basic apparel. The Company is the leading supplier of activewear for the screenprint market in the U.S. and Canada.
