The opportunity

As part of the digital transformation of human resources and the ongoing support required to provide best-in-class user experience, the HR application analyst contributes to the development and administration of HR solutions. The position is part of the corporate human resources group and is reporting to the Director, Digital HR & Process improvement. 


The role 


In collaboration with the business analyst team, the application analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Application support: Manage the HRIS application support queue, provide on call end-users assistance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Problem-solving: Evaluate application's current state and suggest necessary improvements. Develop plans to prevent the recurrence of problems.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of issues and problems; report on them.
  • Cyclical administration: Open and manage cyclical activities and tasks (ex. ePerformance, workforce development, eCompensation cycles, etc.).
  • Reporting: Run recurrent queries/reports. Analyze users' new reporting requirements, develop queries/reports. Improve data integrity for reporting accuracy.
  • Training: Provide training to users to ensure proper system utilisation.
  • Project: Lead small to moderate scope initiatives tied to Digital HR. 


The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields.
  • Experience working with Human resources solutions such as Peoplesoft/Workday/Oracle a strong asset
  • Proficient with the Microsoft suite, and particularly Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills with proven ability to work with customers to solve technical issues, while maintaining a positive attitude and professional behavior.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability of making informed and well-rounded recommendations that address the root causes of problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately.
  • Capacity to communicate technical or complex information in a clear and concise manner (in both English and Spanish).
  • Comfortable handling and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, with efficient and effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in both English and Spanish, French is a definite asset
  • Willingness to learn and grow as part of the Digital HR team.
  • This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
