Gildan has provided me with countless opportunities to grow both professionally and personally while still maintaining a work-life balance. I love working with talented individuals from the various Gildan sites across the globe.

What I like most about Gildan is the people that I work with and the challenges I get to troubleshoot through my job. I’ve been here for over eight years now, and I enjoy working!

I have been working at Gildan for almost 18 years and have had many opportunities to grow and build relationships with people from all corners of the world.

My focus has been to find ways to take my responsibilities within the operations to new heights. My contributions are often recognized in the decision-making process of our operation. The work environment in Bangladesh is very friendly and I collaborate with a great team.

It makes me proud to be able to help people and support better working conditions, and it’s rewarding to see the positive changes that follow my visits to different factories. Employees often remember me and greet me when I come back to a facility, and they tell me about a time when I helped them through something in the past. To see them still working there all those years later makes me very happy!

The most memorable moment I've had at Gildan happened while I was participating in the “Leading the Gildan Way” program. I always used to shy away from giving speeches, however, during our recognition ceremony I got a chance to say some words about my experience from taking this course. After my speech, my colleagues applauded and complimented me. It was a very memorable moment that I will always cherish.

I am happiest on the manufacturing floor. Multiple times each day you’ll see me escape from my office and make my way to the shop floor. I talk to our operators, understand the challenges they face and see what I can do to improve their work process. I’ve spent years working with the people here; we know each other well and are comfortable working together. We’re a family.

I am proud that we can be a part of the community and contribute something back. We get involved with the United Way, the YMCA, and several different boards. We are proud of our involvement with that.

When I was in college, I used to drive by the Gildan facility and think to myself, “one day, I’m going to work there! Little did I know that shortly after that, I’d get an interview and start my journey at Gildan. That was 20 years ago!

Joining Gildan has been one of my greatest achievements! It’s been a great place to grow in. The work environment is both challenging and calming at the same time. The best of both world’s really. If I ever got the opportunity to work here again, I wouldn’t hesitate one second!

As an MBA student, practical knowledge is of great importance, and to begin my Canadian work experience with an organization like Gildan, has been a valuable steppingstone. Coming from a consulting background, the internship helped me gain valuable insights on industry practices, while sharpening my technical knowledge. The best part of this journey was working with the amazing team that I had, with whom I had the opportunity to hone and nurture my capabilities at every stage.

Choosing Gildan as my first internship experience allowed me to have a summer packed with learning, challenges, and fun! My team members instantly became mentors, and everyone was constantly open to provide a helping hand when needed. I will forever value their openness to allow me to support in various areas within my field to discover myself as a professional beyond the scope of my role.
